Rick Banta joined Wegman Partners in 2011.

Rick Banta has spent a combined 30 years providing professional services (20 years—13 years in leadership positions) and as President/CEO of 2 private companies (10 years). In these leadership positions, he has been responsible for hiring 100’s of service professionals and C-level executives and understands that talent is the single most important differentiator visa via competition in building any organization.

Rick, in 2006, brought that “talent philosophy” to the legal search profession. At Wegman Partners, he heads up Lateral Partner and Practice Group hiring nationally. As such he spends his time exclusively placing partners and practice groups in Am Law 100 firms and consulting with respect to law firm mergers.

Rick earned his J. D. from the University of Nebraska College of Law and his L.LM. (Tax) from New York University College of Law. He resides in Dallas with his wife Susie, who is an HR Consultant with the Gallup Organization. He has a grown daughter, Molly who is married and resides in Austin. Rick enjoys family travel, golf and the Texas Hill Country.
